Paul Babieis Associate Professor and Reader, Associate Dean of Law (Research),
Adelaide Law School, and Associate Dean (Research), Faculty of the Professions, at
the University of Adelaide. He holds a BA in sociology and political science from the
University of Calgary, a BThSt from Flinders University, an LLB from the University
of Alberta, an LLM from the University of Melbourne, and a DPhil in law from
the University of Oxford. His primary research area is legal theory, especially the
nature and concept of property; he has published widely in this field. He is a Barrister
and Solicitor (inactive) of the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta (Canada), and an
Associate Member of the Law Society of South Australia, through which he serves as
a Member of the Property Law Committee.
