CMOS 60-GHZ AND E-BAND POWER AMPLIFIERS AND TRANSMITTERS
Subject
CMOS 60-GHZ AND E-BAND POWER AMPLIFIERS AND TRANSMITTERS
Description
With an explosion of wireless mobile devices and services, wireless system and
circuit designers are facing a continuously increased demand for high data rates
and mobility required by daily booming wireless applications. Currently, the fourth
generation (4G) wireless network can support data rates up to 1 Gb/s for low
mobility, such as local wireless access, and up to 100 Mb/s for high mobility, such
as mobile access. However, due to the limited spectrum resource at low-GHz range,
4G networks are about to reach the theoretical limit on how many bits they can
squeeze into a given amount of spectrum, which are definitely not sufficient to meet the future needs.
